Antenatal consults provide the guidance and confidence you need to make informed choices about feeding your baby. By meeting with an IBCLC during pregnancy (ideally between 34–36 weeks) we can build rapport, prepare for your goals, and help you feel supported before your baby arrives.
This session is especially valuable if you’ve experienced breastfeeding challenges before, have medical conditions, or have had previous breast surgery.
During your Antenatal Consult, we’ll cover:
• Your breastfeeding goals
• Medical and pregnancy history
• Previous breastfeeding experiences
• Strategies to support your feeding journey
• Antenatal colostrum expression
• Correct pump flange sizing
• Common questions and attachment techniques
• How to prevent common challengesBooking an Antenatal Consult also means you’ll be on Sarah’s client list once your baby arrives, giving you priority support via text, email, or video while you’re still in hospital — before coming in for your postnatal feeding consult.
